Historical note
The monument to the heroes of the Civil and Great Patriotic Wars was erected in Yevpatoria in 1969. It is dedicated to the memory of soldiers who fell during the Civil War of 1917-1922 and the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945. The project’s authors were sculptor A. Ya. Zhuravlev and architect M. V. Glushkov.
The location for the monument was chosen prominently – at the entrance to the city’s Frunze Park, emphasizing its significance as a place of remembrance and sorrow for residents and visitors.
Present day
Currently, the monument continues to be an important memorial site in Yevpatoria. It is regularly maintained in proper condition, and the surrounding area is landscaped.
Flowers are laid at the monument on commemorative dates, especially Victory Day and other days of military glory, paying tribute to the feat of the defenders of the Motherland.
