Historical note

The House-Museum commemorates the first congress of the Russian Social Democratic Labour Party, held here illegally in March 1898. The original wooden house, owned by townswoman F. Rzhetskaya, was destroyed by fire during World War II in 1941. In 1948, the house was fully reconstructed based on surviving blueprints and documents at its historical location near the Svislach River.

Present day

Currently, the House-Museum of the 1st Congress of the RSDLP serves as a branch of the National Historical Museum of the Republic of Belarus. The building retains its historical appearance and is located in a park area in the center of Minsk, serving as an important historical monument and tourist attraction.
