Historical note

Chișinău’s rail hub is one of the city’s oldest transport sites; railway service through the city dates to the second half of the 19th century. The station complex was rebuilt several times in the Soviet period; the 1974 postcard records its appearance at that time.

Present day

Chișinău railway station remains the city’s principal passenger terminal on 30 Years of Victory Street. The building and forecourt are a familiar landmark for local routes.
