Historical note

The Monument to the Tank Crew of the 3rd Guards Tank Army was officially unveiled on October 14, 1970, in Pushkin Square, Zaporizhzhia. It is dedicated to the soldiers of the 3rd Guards Tank Corps who participated in the liberation of the city from Nazi invaders in October 1943. The monument features an actual T-34-85 combat tank placed on a granite pedestal. The authors of the project were architect A. Ya. Pivovarov, sculptor M. G. Lyubimov, and engineer T. E. Zharsky.

Present day

Currently, the Monument to the Tank Crew of the 3rd Guards Tank Army remains in Pushkin Square in Zaporizhzhia. It retains its historical and memorial significance, serving as a site for commemorative events and one of the city’s recognizable landmarks.
