What is shown on the postcard

Historical note

The building was constructed in 1891 based on the design of architect Julian Zachariewicz for the Galician Savings Bank. The facade features a sculptural group by Leonardo Marconi symbolizing thriftiness. In the Soviet era, it housed the State Museum of Ethnography and Arts and Crafts.

Present day

Today, the building at 15 Svobody Avenue continues to host the Museum of Ethnography and Crafts of the Institute of Ethnology of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. Its architectural appearance is fully preserved.
