What is shown on the postcard

Historical note
The street was named after Pavel Kotov, a Soviet party official. Krasnodon (founded as Sorokyne in 1914, reclaiming its historical name in 2016) developed rapidly in the post-war years as a major coal-mining center of the Donbas. The architecture of Kotova Street represents typical Soviet urban planning of the 1970s and 1980s, dominated by standardized medium-rise apartment blocks.
Present day
Today, the street layout and the residential buildings remain largely unchanged. Under Ukrainian legislation, the city’s historical name, Sorokyne, was officially restored in 2016.
