Historical note

The stele in honor of the 50th anniversary of the All-Union Leninist Young Communist League (Komsomol) was erected in Myrhorod in 1968 to mark the jubilee. The Komsomolets cinema served as one of the cultural hubs of the city during the Soviet era, hosting movie screenings and public events.

Present day

During the post-Soviet period, as part of decommunization, the stele dedicated to the Komsomol was dismantled. The building of the former cinema has been repurposed or rebuilt, and the surrounding area has been redeveloped.
