Historical note
The design of the new university campus on the southern outskirts of Kyiv (Teremky area) began in the 1960s under the leadership of architects V. Ladnyi, M. Budylovskyi, and others. Construction was carried out in stages during the 1970s and 1980s. The complex is a prime example of Soviet modernism, where each faculty (Physics, Cybernetics, etc.) received specialized buildings with uniquely shaped lecture halls.
Present day
Today, the complex continues to serve as the educational campus of the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. It houses the faculties of Computer Science and Cybernetics, Sociology, Radiophysics, and others. The architectural ensemble has preserved its original modernist appearance, now surrounded by mature, fully grown trees.
