The image shows a three-story brick school building, typical of Soviet educational architecture of the early 1970s. A decorative mosaic panel with Soviet symbolic motifs is visible on the side wall. In front of the school, there is a landscaped area with paved walkways, lawns, and young planted trees. In the background, multi-story panel residential buildings of the newly established district are visible. Pedestrians and groups of schoolchildren are captured in the foreground.

Historical note

Secondary school No. 26 in Poltava was opened during the rapid development of the Almazny residential microdistrict, which began in the late 1960s and early 1970s. The school was built according to a standard state design for large-capacity educational institutions to provide the necessary social infrastructure for the fast-growing suburb.

Present day

Today, the institution continues to operate as the Poltava Secondary School of I-III levels No. 26 under the Poltava City Council. The building has preserved its original architectural structure, though the surrounding area has matured, with the trees planted in the 1970s now fully grown. Partial renovations and thermal insulation of the facade have also been carried out.
