Historical note

Komsomolsky Park (now Youth Park) was established around the surviving pond of the former Lubomirski palace estate, serving as a popular promenade in the city center.

Today, Shevchenko Park retains its status as a state-protected monument of landscape architecture and remains Rivne’s primary central park. The former Komsomolsky Park is officially named Youth Park (Park Molodi), though locals widely refer to it as “Lebedynka” (Swan Lake) due to the swans residing on its pond.
