Historical note
The “Corner of Old Odesa” exhibition was established in the early 1970s near the newly built Mother-in-Law (Teschin) Bridge. It gathered authentic elements of local architecture from previous centuries, including the decorative arched bridge, an antique well-head, and cast-iron sculptures of a griffin and a lion, to recreate the 19th-century atmosphere of Odesa.
Present day
Today, this site remains a popular tourist spot and photo location. The bridge structure and the griffin sculpture are preserved, undergoing periodic cosmetic restorations.
