Historical note
School No. 4 in Krasnodon was named after Hero of the Soviet Union Sergey Tyulenin, who studied there before the outbreak of World War II. The monument-bust to this key member of the underground Komsomol organization “Young Guard” was erected in the school courtyard during the Soviet era as an important memorial to commemorate his legacy and promote youth education.
Present day
Today, the building of the former School No. 4 and the monument to Sergey Tyulenin remain at their historical location on Sadovaya Street in Sorokyne. The memorial structure continues to serve as a tribute to the underground resistance members during the war.
