What is shown on the postcard

Historical note

The Memorial of Military Glory in Rivne was established in the military section of the Dubenske Cemetery to honor Soviet soldiers, partisans, and underground resistance fighters who died during World War II while liberating the city and region. The military cemetery began forming in 1944 with the mass burial of fallen soldiers. In the post-war years, the site was reconstructed into a monumental memorial complex.

Present day

Today, the memorial at the Dubenske Cemetery retains its status as a historical and memorial site containing the graves of World War II participants. The municipal services of Rivne maintain the grounds in proper condition. Commemorative events are periodically held here to mark the liberation of the city and the end of the war.
