Historical note

The House of Political Education (Budynok Politoshvity) was constructed in the second half of the 20th century. The building formed an integral part of the Soviet-era administrative district of the city, centered near Narodna Square.

Present day

Following Ukraine’s independence, the building retained its administrative function, while the ideological slogans and Soviet symbols were removed from the roof. Today, it houses various regional state offices and municipal departments, serving as an architectural monument of Uzhhorod’s late Soviet period.
