What is shown on the postcard

Historical note
The exhibition complex was opened in 1958 to showcase the industrial, scientific, and agricultural achievements of Soviet Ukraine. The Coal Industry Pavilion stood out for its grand Stalinist Neoclassical architecture with Baroque elements, emphasizing the key role of the Donbas coal basin in the republic’s economy. The design of the exhibition complex was developed by a team of prominent Ukrainian Soviet architects.
Present day
Today, the complex operates as the National Expocenter of Ukraine (VDNG). The territory has preserved its original layout and most of its historic pavilions, which are designated as local architectural and urban planning monuments. The former Coal Industry Pavilion is currently used for cultural, educational, and exhibition events.
