Historical note
The new building of the regional drama theatre in Voroshilovgrad was opened in 1970. The project, designed in the Soviet modernist style, was created by architects G. Golovchenko and A. Gorobets. During this period (1970–1990), the city was named Voroshilovgrad.
Present day
Today, the building retains its original architectural appearance and serves as the home of the Luhansk Academic Russian Drama Theatre named after Pavel Luspekaev.
