What is shown on the postcard

Historical note
The construction of the Dniprodzerzhynsk Hydroelectric Power Plant took place between 1956 and 1964, marking a crucial step in the development of the Dnieper reservoir cascade. The Lenin monument, designed by sculptors O. Oliynyk and M. Vronsky, was unveiled in 1958 on the square that long bore his name.
Present day
As part of the 2016 decommunization campaign, the city of Dniprodzerzhynsk was renamed Kamianske, and the Lenin monument was dismantled; the square was renamed Liberation Square (Maidan Vyzvolennia). The Dniprodzerzhynsk HPP was renamed the Middle Dnieper Hydroelectric Power Plant and continues to operate within Ukraine’s national energy grid.
