What is shown on the postcard

Historical note

The “Brest Hero-Fortress” memorial complex, which includes the Main Monument, was officially opened on September 25, 1971. The “Courage” monument symbolizes the steadfastness and heroism of the defenders of Brest Fortress in June 1941. A group of sculptors and architects worked on the creation of the complex, including A.P. Kibalnikov, A.O. Bembel, V.A. Kozlov, V.M. Korol, Yu.I. Kazakov, and V.P. Zankovich.

Currently, the Main Monument “Courage” continues to be a key element of the “Brest Hero-Fortress” memorial complex. It serves as a central attraction for tourists and a site for commemorative events, maintaining its historical and memorial significance.
