Historical note
The building of the Kyiv Branch of the Central V.I. Lenin Museum was constructed between 1978 and 1982, designed by a group of architects led by V. I. Gopkalo. It is located at the foot of Volodymyrskyy Hill, on the site of the three-story Yevropeysky Hotel, which was demolished in the 1970s. The museum opened to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the USSR.
Present day
In 1993, the building was transformed into the “Ukrainian House” National Center for Business and Cultural Cooperation. Today, it hosts exhibitions, fairs, presentations, concerts, and public events. The exterior of the building has been largely preserved, though the square in front has undergone reconstruction.
