Historical note
Lenin Square served as the socio-political center of Truskavets during the Soviet period, hosting official events and demonstrations. The monument to V. I. Lenin, erected in the central part of the square, was dismantled in 1990 during socio-political changes.
Present day
Today, the square is named Maidan Nezalezhnosti (Independence Square). The former administrative building with columns is used by the Truskavets City Council. The Lenin monument has been dismantled, and the area has been converted into a pedestrian zone.
