What is shown on the postcard

Historical note

The Belarusian Polytechnic Institute (BPI) was founded in 1920. The monumental main building on Leninsky Prospekt (now Niezaliežnasci Avenue) was constructed in the post-war years, becoming a symbol of reconstructed Minsk and the republic’s primary engineering school.

Present day

Currently, the institution is known as the Belarusian National Technical University (BNTU). The main building has fully retained its historical appearance, is designated as a mid-20th-century architectural monument, and serves as the university’s main administrative and academic facility.
