Historical note
The Cherkasy River Station was built in 1962 based on a design by architect V. Lazarenko and other specialists. It became a key transport hub on the Kremenchuk Reservoir, facilitating regular passenger traffic along the Dnipro River. The double-deck motor ship ‘N. V. Gogol’ (Project 785) was widely used for passenger and tourist voyages during this era.
Present day
Today, the Cherkasy River Station no longer serves regular passenger routes. While the building remains intact, it is mostly used for commercial purposes, and the surrounding embankment has become a recreational walking area for residents.
