Historical note
The Kristall and Almaz sanatoriums were constructed in the 1970s in the Nagorny (upland) district of Truskavets to support large-scale spa and health resort treatment. These standardized high-rise structures became the architectural landmarks of the new resort district, designed to accommodate thousands of visitors simultaneously.
Present day
Today, the buildings continue to operate as sanatoriums, providing medical and preventive health services. While the architectural exterior has been preserved, the interiors and amenities have undergone gradual modernization to meet contemporary hospitality standards.
