Historical note
The VTsSPS (All-Union Central Council of Trade Unions) sanatorium in Truskavets was one of the leading therapeutic and health resorts of the balneological resort during the Soviet period. The building shown on the postcard was constructed as part of the post-war modernization of the city’s resort infrastructure in the 1950s–1960s. The sanatorium specialized in treating diseases of the kidneys, urinary tract, and digestive organs using the local “Naftusia” mineral water.
Present day
In the post-Soviet period, the complex of the former VTsSPS sanatorium underwent reorganization and ownership changes. Some buildings were modernized, while others were transferred to state departmental medical structures of Ukraine or privatized. The surrounding area has partially retained its park zone, though the layout of the flowerbeds and greenery has been altered to meet modern resort landscaping standards.
