What is shown on the postcard

Historical note
The railway station in Chernivtsi was constructed between 1906 and 1909 according to the design of the Austrian architect Hubert Gessner in the Vienna Secession (Art Nouveau) style. The construction of the new terminal was necessitated by the growing passenger traffic of the Bukovina capital. It officially opened on November 30, 1909.
Present day
Today, the Chernivtsi railway station continues to serve its primary function as a key transport hub of the Lviv Railway. The building has preserved its historic appearance, including its external decorative details and the sculpture of Iris on the dome, and is recognized as an architectural monument of national significance.
