Historical note
The Monument to Warrior-Metallurgists who died during World War II was officially unveiled in Dniprodzerzhynsk in May 1975, marking the 30th anniversary of victory. The monument was created by sculptors A. A. Zaytsev and A. I. Zaytsev, along with architect A. P. Romanenko. The People’s Museum of the Dniprodzerzhynsk Industrial Institute (now the Dnipro State Technical University) compiled materials on the development of higher education in the city, the career paths of its graduates, and their involvement in World War II.
Present day
The memorial complex dedicated to warrior-metallurgists near the metallurgical plant’s entrance remains preserved as an important memorial site in Kamianske.
