Historical note
The Prykarpattia Sanatorium belonged to the network of military health resorts of the USSR Ministry of Defense. The resort specialized in treating kidney, urinary tract, and digestive diseases using the famous local mineral waters, including “Naftusia”. The architecture of the complex is typical for departmental sanatoriums of the late 1960s and 1970s, where functionality was combined with strict geometric forms.
Present day
During the period of Ukraine’s independence, the military sanatorium continued its operations as the Truskavetskyi Center of Medical Rehabilitation and Sanatorium Treatment under the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. The building has preserved its main structural layout, but the Soviet slogans were removed from the roof, and the surrounding territory along with the interiors underwent modernization to meet contemporary standards of spa treatment.
