Old postcards Bakhchisaray

This section collects view postcards of Bakhchysarai through 1991 — a 1984 set. Most subjects focus on the Historical and Architectural Museum and the Khan’s Palace; Chufut-Kale and town views appear separately.

Museum frames include the palace ensemble facade of the 15th–18th centuries and the Falcon Tower, the Khan-Jami mosque with the Embassy Hall, the harem building with a fountain by the suite wing, the pool in the palace park and the main museum entrance. Also shown are an alley with the Coffee Room, the Fruit Cabinet with a summer gazebo, and the mosque arcade facing the palace park.

Chufut-Kale cards show the medieval cave town beside the Assumption Monastery, as well as the kenassas and a water-collecting well. Town views from 1984 include the bus station and Frunze Street with the Bakhchisaray restaurant, the Prival tourist camp with a department store, the V.I. Lenin monument against new housing, and the fraternal cemetery of Civil War and Great Patriotic War heroes.
