Historical note

The Odesa Palace of Sports opened in 1975 on Shevchenko Avenue. It became the city’s key indoor arena for sports competitions including ice hockey, figure skating, and basketball, as well as large-scale concerts. The Olympic rings were installed on the facade in preparation for the 1980 Summer Olympics.

Present day

Today, the Odesa Palace of Sports continues to function as a multi-purpose sports and concert venue. It hosts athletic training, exhibitions, trade fairs, and public events, while the exterior design retains its original modernist architectural style.
