What is shown on the postcard

Historical note
The monument to Ivan Kotlyarevsky in Poltava was officially unveiled on August 30 (September 12), 1903. Funds for its creation were raised through public subscription over several years. The author of the monument’s design was the sculptor Leonid Pozen, and the architect was Aleksandr Shirshov. It is the world’s first monument dedicated to this prominent Ukrainian writer.

Today, the monument stands in its original location in the historic center of Poltava, at the intersection of Kotlyarevsky and Nebesna Sotnia streets. The monument holds the status of a cultural heritage site of national importance and remains one of the city’s key landmarks.
