Historical note

Present day
In the modern era, the green space was renamed the Mykhailo Chekman Park of Culture and Leisure (in honor of a former mayor). The park remains Khmelnytskyi’s primary urban garden, preserving its mature trees, channels, and pedestrian bridges, though much of the Soviet-era infrastructure has been updated or replaced.
