Historical note

The Monument of Eternal Glory, featuring a 27-meter obelisk and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, was officially opened on November 6, 1957. The memorial honors soldiers who died during World War II. An Alley of Heroes leads to the monument, containing the graves of 35 soldiers.

Present day

Today, the memorial in the Park of Eternal Glory retains its historical status. The park grounds and the observation deck near the obelisk remain popular visiting locations for residents and tourists, offering panoramic views of the left bank of Kyiv.
