In front of the building, there is a well-maintained garden with flowerbeds, young trees, and pedestrian paths with several people walking or resting. A vintage vehicle is visible on the far left.

Historical note

Historically known as the Skarbek Theatre, the building was constructed between 1837 and 1842, funded by the philanthropist Count Stanisław Skarbek. Since 1944, it has been home to the Maria Zankovetska Ukrainian Dramatic Theatre.

Present day

Today, the building retains its historic architectural appearance and continues to operate as the Maria Zankovetska National Academic Ukrainian Dramatic Theatre. The garden area in front of the building remains a popular public space in Lviv’s historic center.
