What is shown on the postcard

Historical note
The theater building in Yelysavethrad (now Kropyvnytskyi) was built in 1867 by the engineer G. V. Trambytskyi. In 1882, the first professional Ukrainian realistic theater group, known as the ‘Teatr Coryphaei’, was founded here under the leadership of Marko Kropyvnytskyi. During the Soviet period, the building underwent several modifications, including the addition of a modernist concrete canopy over the entrance.
Present day
In 2012, a comprehensive restoration of the theater was completed. The Soviet-era concrete canopy was dismantled, and the facade was restored to its original late-19th-century appearance. Today, the building serves as the Kropyvnytskyi Academic Regional Ukrainian Music and Drama Theater named after M. L. Kropyvnytskyi.
