Historical note
The Zirka Stadium was opened in 1934 and underwent major reconstructions during the Soviet era. It served as the home ground for the local Zirka football club, established at the Chervona Zirka (Red Star) agricultural machinery plant. The Square of Labor Glory was used in Soviet times to display the achievements of local enterprises and leading workers.
Present day
Today, the Zirka Stadium is completely renovated with modern plastic seating and certified for Ukrainian Premier League matches. The Square of Labor Glory has been modernized and altered during decommunization and urban redevelopment processes.
