Historical note

The Summer Cinema (theater) in Nova Kakhovka was constructed in the 1950s as part of the new socialist town built alongside the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Plant. The park surrounding the building was landscaped under the direction of the prominent gardener S. M. Faldzinsky. The cinema served as a major cultural venue for outdoor film screenings and concerts during the warm season.

Present day

The building has survived to the present day but requires restoration. It is located within the territory of the Nova Kakhovka City Park of Culture and Rest near the Dnipro River bank.
